As a result, you decide to use something already existant, that will be tailored to your needs, or to use something entirely new programmed especifically for you.

Reinvent the wheel for each type of application, makes no sense for us, neither economically nor temporally. What matters is the type of usage. Your request must be met, whether this software will now be re-written, or by adjusting an existing, updateable software. You can only decide, if you know the alternatives.
